Biography

Jerry Ring is Founding Principal of the Center for Public Affairs Strategies LLC.

During his 40 year career at The Dow Chemical Company, Ring was
responsible for directing the company's global community stakeholder
engagement practices in 37 countries around the world where the company has 179 manufacturing sites. As President and Executive Director of The Dow Chemical Foundation, Ring was responsible for strategic planning and implementation of the company's $17 -$25 million global contributions program.

Over his career, he was based in Hong Kong, Ireland, Michigan and West
Virginia with overall responsibility for area public affairs programs.
Other assignments included public affairs support for two of Dow's international businesses as well as positions involving issue management and government affairs.

An expert in applying sustainable development thinking to public affairs
principles and practices, he was a leader in the formation of a
multi-sector economic and environmental roundtable for the state
of Michigan, as well as a sustainable community initiative involving business, government and foundations for one of the world's largest freshwater watersheds, also in Michigan.

Ring has been a member of the International Advisory Board of The Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College for a number of years. He holds B.S. and M.S, degrees from Boston University and a MBA from Central Michigan University.
